The Leyuelec OPIP-5000 series is a pure sine wave power inverter that converts DC battery power from 12V, 24V or 48V banks into regulated AC output at 110V class or 220V class, with 5000W rated power and 10000W peak power. Its output waveform distortion is held below 3% on linear loads, so the AC supply behaves like utility mains rather than a stepped waveform, which is what sensitive electronics, motor controllers and measurement instruments require. Two output voltage families cover different grid regions:
OPIP-5K-1 delivers 100VAC, 110VAC or 120VAC ±5%, while OPIP-5K-2 delivers 220VAC, 230VAC or 240VAC ±5%. Output frequency is selectable at 50Hz±0.5Hz or 60Hz±0.5Hz, so one hardware platform serves both 50Hz and 60Hz markets. Maximum conversion efficiency reaches 90%, and no-load consumption is held to 1.3A at 12V, 0.8A at 24V and 0.6A at 48V, which limits standby drain on the battery bank during long idle periods. A 5V 1A USB port is provided for small loads. Six protection functions are implemented: low voltage, over voltage, over load, over temperature, short circuit, and input reverse polarity. The unit is cooled by intelligent air cooling and is built into a 505 × 205 × 165 mm aluminium housing weighing 10,000 g, with 18 months warranty.

5000W pure sine wave inverter with THD below 3%, converting 12V 24V 48V DC to 110V 220V AC. 10000W peak power, 90% efficiency, 18-month warranty.
The inverter is rated at 5000W continuous and 10000W peak, giving a 2× surge margin. The surge headroom is what allows inductive loads such as motors, pumps and compressors to start, since their inrush current is several times their running current.
Waveform distortion stays below 3% on linear loads. A low-distortion waveform keeps motors cooler and prevents the buzzing, derating or outright malfunction that stepped waveforms cause in equipment with capacitive input stages and microprocessor control.
Unload current is specified at 1.3A for 12V, 0.8A for 24V and 0.6A for 48V. Lower standby consumption directly extends the interval between battery recharge cycles in off-grid installations.
5V 1A USB port is built into the unit, so small 5V accessories can be powered without occupying an AC outlet or an additional adapter.
Because peak output reaches 10000W, a 5000W unit can start loads that would otherwise force the buyer to step up to a larger inverter. Money and cabinet space stay with the project.
100V/110V/120V and 220V/230V/240V outputs at ±5%, combined with 50Hz/60Hz selection, mean importers and system integrators can serve several countries from a single supplier and a single spare-part position.
Each DC input version ships with its own alarm, protection and recovery thresholds. Field failures caused by mismatched external protection settings are removed from the installation process.
Alarm-then-shutdown sequencing and red LED indication let an end user or field engineer identify the fault class on site, which reduces the round trips that normally drive after-sales cost.

5000W continuous output covers household and remote-site AC loads, while the low unload current of 1.3A / 0.8A / 0.6A keeps standby drain low during periods when the battery bank is not being recharged.
The 48V DC input version accepts 40–61V and the 24V version accepts 20–31V, matching common telecom battery banks; the paired low voltage alarm, protection and recovery thresholds protect the bank without external control gear.
A 10000W peak rating against 5000W continuous provides the surge margin needed to start inductive loads whose inrush current is several times their running current, and the 5000W rating then carries them in normal operation.
Waveform distortion below 3% on linear loads means the AC output approximates utility mains, which suits microprocessor-controlled equipment, measurement instruments and motor controllers that cannot tolerate a stepped waveform.
What is the difference between the rated power of 5000W and the peak power of 10000W for the OPIP-5000?
Rated power of 5000W is the output the inverter sustains continuously. Peak power of 10000W is a short-duration surge allowance used for load start-up. Buyers should size the continuous load against 5000W, and use the 10000W figure only to judge whether a load with high inrush current can start.
Why must you choose a pure sine wave inverter?
Because waveform distortion is held below 3% on linear loads, the output approximates utility mains. Equipment with capacitive input stages, microprocessor control or variable-speed motors may buzz, derate or refuse to operate on a stepped waveform, and harmonic distortion also raises internal heating in motors.
Should the DC input be 12V, 24V, or 48V?
It depends on the battery bank already in place. The series provides 10–15.5V input for 12V systems, 20–31V for 24V systems and 40–61V for 48V systems. At the same power level a higher DC voltage lowers current, which reduces cable cross-section and connection losses.
How large a battery pack is required for a 5000W inverter?
There is no single answer without the load profile. Size the bank from the actual figures: required battery capacity ≈ (continuous load in W ÷ battery nominal voltage ÷ 0.90 conversion efficiency) × required backup hours. Share the load list and backup duration with our engineers and the recommended bank, cable size and fuse will be calculated for the specific project.
Can the inverter power inductive loads such as motors, water pumps and compressors?
The inverter provides a 10000W peak output against a 5000W continuous rating, which is the margin needed for start-up inrush. Verify the specific motor's starting current and starting duration against the peak rating before committing a project.
