Leyu DRP-480 is a single‑output DIN rail switching power supply designed specifically for industrial control cabinets. It comes in two models: 24V 20A and 48V 10A (suffix -24 / -48), both rated at 480W.
From the very beginning, this series was built to solve three real‑world industrial pain points:
Equipment restarts caused by unstable voltage
Overheating or shutdown in high‑temperature environments
Limited installation space with a requirement for fan‑less silent operation
That’s why the DRP‑480 adopts active PFC, full protections, and free‑air convection cooling, and supports TS‑35/7.5 or TS‑35/15 standard DIN rails. It can serve as the main power source for PLCs and servo drives, as well as run reliably in automated production lines, charging stations, and security systems.
Unlike many other power supplies of the same wattage, the Leyu DRP‑480 does not need an external fan. Thanks to its metal housing and internal layout, it works at 70°C (with derating) – a huge advantage for cramped, dusty cabinets.
Active PFC
Power factor >0.95 – reduces reactive losses, ideal for factory power grids with multiple units side by side.
Four protections, each with a different recovery behavior
Short circuit / overload → constant current limiting, auto‑recovery after fault clears
Over voltage → output shuts down, re‑power on required
Over temperature (detection at 100℃±5℃) → output shuts down, auto‑recovery when temperature drops
Fan‑less, pure free‑air convection
No fan means no noise, no dust buildup, no bearing wear. Under 230VAC full load, case temperature rise stays within a reasonable range.
Wide operating temperature
Cold start at -20℃ without issues. At +70℃ derating is needed (contact us for the derating curve). Storage from -20℃ to +85℃.
Mounting compatibility
Works with TS‑35/7.5 or TS‑35/15 rails. The rail clip has just the right tension – you can install/remove it with one hand.

In addition, the Leyu DRP‑480 accepts an input voltage range of 180~264VAC and 250~370VDC, so it can be used directly in some DC backup applications (e.g. photovoltaic DC combiner boxes).
One easily overlooked advantage: its output ripple & noise is controlled at 120mVp‑p (20MHz bandwidth), measured using a 12‑inch twisted pair with a 0.1μF//47μF capacitor – that’s the industry standard method, not a gimmick.

Q1: Are the dimensions of DRP‑480‑24 and DRP‑480‑48 the same?
Yes, exactly the same: 227×125.2×100mm (L×W×H), weight 2.4kg. Only the transformer turns ratio and feedback circuit differ.
Q2: Can I parallel two units to get more current?
Direct paralleling is not recommended. If you must, add an ideal diode module at each output and keep total load below 80% of the rated power of a single unit. We suggest using a higher‑wattage Leyu series (e.g. 960W) instead.
Q3: How do I derate at 70°C?
When the ambient temperature exceeds 50°C, derate by 2.5% per degree Celsius. For example, at 60°C load should not exceed 360W, at 70°C not exceed 240W. Contact us for the official derating curve.
Q4: Can I apply 220V DC to the input?
Yes. The datasheet specifies 250~370VDC input range. Pay attention to polarity (L = positive, N = negative).
Q5: When does the two‑year warranty start?
From the date of shipment. Damage caused by misuse (e.g. water ingress, input voltage out of range, permanent short circuit) is not covered. Leyu provides a one‑to‑one failure analysis report.
Q6: How does it compare to Mean Well’s NDR‑480?
The NDR‑480 has slightly lower efficiency (~88%) and a different overload recovery behavior. The Leyu DRP‑480 offers longer hold‑up time (16ms vs 12ms) and wider DC input voltage range. Leyu is more competitively priced and has shorter lead times.
Q7: Does the package include the DIN rail?
No. The DIN rail must be purchased separately – standard TS‑35 type. Each unit is packed in an anti‑static bag with foam insert; master carton holds 6 units (15kg / 1.75 cu.ft.).
