What are the specific parameter differences between the 12V and 24V models of the SCP-120 series?
The SCP-120 series includes two standard models. The SCP-120-12 delivers a rated output voltage of 13.8V, a rated current of 8A, and a rated power of 117.1W. The SCP-120-24 provides a rated output voltage of 27.6V, a rated current of 4A, and a rated power of 118.4W. Aside from output specifications, the two models are fully identical in physical dimensions, protection functions, certification standards and installation methods.
Can this power supply be directly connected to an external backup lead-acid battery?
Yes. This unit features a built-in UPS float charging function and is compatible with backup lead-acid batteries of matching voltage. It automatically maintains the battery at float charge when mains power is available, and switches to battery power seamlessly upon grid failure. No separate charging module is required.
Will the power supply burn out when overload protection activates? Is a manual reset needed?
No, it will not burn out. The overload protection operates in hiccup mode: once triggered, it delivers intermittent output. The unit automatically resumes normal operation once the fault is cleared and the load returns to its rated range, with no manual reset required. Continuous operation under overload conditions is not recommended, as it will reduce the service life of the power supply.
Can the product be installed inside a sealed outdoor enclosure?
The unit is suitable for installation inside both metallic and non-metallic enclosures. For outdoor applications, proper waterproof and dustproof protection is required, and the ambient temperature must stay within the operating range of -20℃ to +60℃. In high-temperature summer conditions, we recommend derating the load according to the output derating curve to prevent overheating and premature degradation of the unit.
What is the warranty policy for this power supply?
The entire Leyu SCP-120 series of switching power supplies is covered by a 2-year whole-unit warranty. From the date of purchase, free after-sales repair service is provided for performance failures caused by non-human damage and non-force majeure events. Paid repair and technical support are also available after the warranty period expires.
