The Luyu MDR-40W series is a 40W single-output industrial DIN rail switching power supply, designed for standard rail mounting and directly installable on TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 DIN rails. As a representative product in the 40W power class, this series is widely used in industrial automation control systems, instrumentation, communication equipment, security monitoring, LED lighting, building intercom systems, and other fields, providing users with a stable, efficient, and reliable DC power solution.
This series includes four sub-models: MDR-40-5, MDR-40-12, MDR-40-24, and MDR-40-48, with output voltages covering 5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V to meet the diverse power supply requirements of different industrial devices. The products are strictly quality-controlled in accordance with the ISO9001:2000 international quality management system standard and comply with EU RoHS and CE certification requirements. They are ideal companion power supplies for industrial control cabinets, PLC systems, contactors, relays, and similar equipment.

1. Wide-Range Universal AC Input for Global Use
The Luyu MDR-40W series supports a full-range AC input of 85–264VAC, while also accepting 120–370VDC input, with a frequency range of 47–63Hz. It can be used directly in any power grid environment, whether in China, Europe, the United States, or other countries, without any switching adjustments. The AC input current is 1.1A at 115VAC or 0.7A at 230VAC.
2. Multiple Intelligent Protections for Safe and Reliable Operation
This series features three core built-in protection mechanisms:
Short Circuit Protection: When the output is short-circuited, the power supply automatically enters a protected state. Once the short circuit fault is removed, the power supply automatically resumes normal output.
Overload Protection: When the load power reaches 105%–150% of the rated output power, the power supply automatically enters constant current limiting protection mode. Output automatically recovers after the fault is cleared.
Overvoltage Protection: The overvoltage protection trip points vary by output voltage model: 6.25–7.25V for the 5V model, 15.6–18V for the 12V model, 31.2–36V for the 24V model, and 57.6–64.8V for the 48V model. When overvoltage occurs, the power supply automatically shuts down output and recovers after a power cycle.
3. Natural Convection Cooling, Compact Installation
Adopts natural convection cooling design, eliminating the need for an additional fan and reducing mechanical failure points. The product dimensions are 40×90×100mm (W×H×D) and it weighs only 0.3kg. It can be directly mounted on TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15 standard DIN rails, occupying minimal space inside the control cabinet.
4. 100% Full Load Burn-In Test
Each power supply undergoes a 100% full load burn-in test before leaving the factory, ensuring stability and reliability under actual load conditions.

Efficiency varies by output voltage: 78% for the 5V model, 86% for the 12V model, and 88% for both the 24V and 48V models.

Equipped with an LED power indicator that lights up when power is applied, allowing on-site maintenance personnel to quickly verify the power supply’s operating status.

In terms of output voltage accuracy, the 5V model achieves ±2%, while the 12V, 24V, and 48V models all achieve ±1%. Both line regulation and load regulation are controlled within ±1.0%. The setup and rise time are 500ms/30ms (230VAC, full load), and the hold-up time can reach 50ms under 230VAC conditions. This means that during brief grid fluctuations, downstream equipment will not restart due to power loss, ensuring uninterrupted industrial production.

The operating temperature range is -20℃ to +70℃, and the storage temperature range is -40℃ to +85℃. Combined with a humidity range of 20% to 90% non-condensing, the power supply operates stably under various climatic conditions. The temperature coefficient is ±0.03%/℃ (0~50℃), ensuring stable output voltage even in high-temperature environments.
3. Strict Electrical Isolation and Dielectric Strength
The withstand voltage is 3KVAC for input to output, 2KVAC for input to ground (FG), and 0.5KVAC for output to ground (FG). The isolation resistance is greater than 100MΩ under conditions of 500VDC / 25℃ / 70% RH.

When the product operates outside the -20°C to +70°C temperature range, it may cause performance degradation, shorten service life, and increase the risk of failure.
